In 2nd-Century in Britain, two men - expert and slave - project after the for demonstration of the renowned world on a unsafe and obsessive quest that will impel them after the boundaries of commitment and betrayal, companionship and abhorrence, deceit and heroism.

The Roman epic excursion The Eagle is administered by Kevin Macdonald and made by Duncan Kenworthy. Jeremy Brock has acclimatized the scr eenplay from Rosemary Sutcliff's classic innovative The Eagle of the Ninth. In 140 AD, the Roman Empire expands all the way to Britain - though its grab is incomplete, as the rebellious tribes of Caledonia (today's Scotland) contain sway in the far North.

Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum) reaches in Britain, very resolute to refurbish the tarnished status of his dad, Flavius Aquila. It was 20 years previous that Rome's 5,000-strong Ninth Legion, under the order of Flavius and bearing their golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth, marched north into Caledonia.

They not ever returned; Legion and Eagle easily disappeared into the mists. Angered, the Roman Emperor Hadrian organised the construction of a partition to close off the territory; Hadrian's Wall became the northernmost opportunity of the Roman Empire - the for demonstration of the renowned world. Driven to become a bright fighter and now granted order of a little outpost in the southwest, Marcus bravely directs his armies throughout a siege.

Commended by Rome for his bravery, yet released from the armed detachment because of his critical cuts, Marcus convalesces, demoralized, in the villa of his Uncle Aquila (Donald Sutherland), a left armed detachment man. When Marcus impulsively gets a juvenile Briton's life freed at a gladiatorial challenge, Aquila buys the Briton, Esca (Jamie Bell), to be Marcus' slave. Marcus is dismissive of Esca, who harbors a seething abhorrence of all things Roman. Yet Esca vows to assist the man who has kept his life. Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been glimpsed in a tribal temple in the far north, Marcus is galvanized into activity, and groups off with Esca over Hadrian's Wall. But the highlands of Caledonia are a huge and savage wilds, and Marcus should depend on his slave to navigate the region. When they meet ex-Roman fighter Guern (Mark Strong), Marcus recognizes that the secret of his father's disappearance may well be connected to the mystery of his own slave's persona and commitment - a mystery all the more pushing when the two arrive face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).
